  1. What I learned from this video was that the inner core is almost as hot as the suns outermost layer. The other thing is that half of the earth is about 8,421 Km thick. The mantle is around 4,000C, the outer core is around 5,000C, and the inner core is around 6,000C and the decaying uranium keeps it hot and the pressure of the other layers keeps it solid.

  2. This article is about the layers of the Earth and how thick/hot each layer is. It shows us what the earth looks like on the inside and outside. It that each layer of the Earth has a certain function, like the inner core's function is to make a magnetic field for us. The crust's function is to keep us humans above the mantle etc. Also it explains what each of the layers are made of, the crust is made up of many different types of rocks, the mantle is made up of half molten rock, the outer core is made up of molten iron, and the inner core is made up of solid iron and nickle.

    1. This video is very important becasuse it shows us the layers of the earth and what they do. It is important to know about the Earth because it is our home. In my opinion I believe that learning about they Earth is the most fun study besides Astrology.

  3. This video is about the earth's inner mantle and core. The mantle reaching 4000° celsius, moves the crust around at very slow speeds. The outer core, reaching about 5000° celsius, is made of molten iron. The inner core reaching 6000° celsius, is almost as hot as the sun's surface, this is a solid ball of iron and nickel. It's solid because of all the pressure of the earth. This core also creates the earth's magnetic field.

  4. In this video, I learned about the layers of earth, and what their purpose is. I learned that the inner core is responsible for the magnetic field protecting earth from solar flares. I was given the temperatures and depth of each layer: The crust, mantle, inner core, and outer core. I learned about the magma under earth's crust that spews out of volcanoes as lava.

  5. I think that this video is very important for students that don't under stand what each layer of the earth is for. Learning about the layers of the earth is very interesting because right below us is molten rock along with a radioactive core.

  6. The layers of the earth are very important to learn about. This video gave a clear explanation about all of the layers. The outer layer is the crust, which is about 50 kilometers thick. After that, there's the mantle. The mantle is 2,900 kilometers and is about 3,000 degrees celsius. Eventually, you get to the outer core, which is about 5,000 degrees celsius and is 5,000 kilometers. The very center of the earth is called the inner core. The inner core is about 6,000 degrees celsius and is 1,300 kilometers. The earth is a very interesting topic and our generation should focus on it.

  7. I learned a lot about the layers of the earth, which is a very important thing. The mantle is around 4,000 degrees Celsius and has a depth of about 2,900 kilometers. The outer core has a depth of 2,200 km and is about 5,000 degrees celsius. The inner core is 1,250 km deep and is 6,000 degrees celsius. That is abut the same temperature as the sun's surface. I think learning about the earth's layers is very important, because it teaches us what the earth is like in the inside.
