Glad you are taking Science 8 at Homeconnection. This blog will be used to post articles, videos and activities that I'll ask you to complete.
To begin, add a comment to this post that explains your interest and experience with science.
Enjoy your school year!

ReplyDeleteThe subjects I'm interested in are the weather and physiology. I've wonder all of the time how the weather works, like how huge storms are formed, heat waves, and blizzards. For my other interest in science, physiology, I always thought it was interesting how the heart works with the blood system, but I'm mostly intrigued about all the parts of the brain and what it can do.
My experiences with science started at a younger age learning about nature and animals. Later on I started looking at objects and liquids under a microscope and studying things like cells, space, and scientific method. I'm also very excited to learn new things in science 8.
I love science I think it is one of the most important classes to be taking and understand. The world is made up of science all of it and everything in it. The air we breath and the atoms and molecules our bodies are made up of. Every organ in every creature. The DNA that makes up plants, animals and us. I have always enjoyed science and all the hidden secrets that we still have to understand. Technology is science. Medicine is science. Nature is science, etc. It's amazing in every way.
ReplyDeletethis is very interesting

I think that science is very interesting and very important. Science is one of my favorite subjects in school because you are learning about why things are the way they are and why it is so important. I love learning about the planets, plants, and how things can be easy to understand if you think about it.
ReplyDeleteThe picture of all the dogs lined up are very interesting because we know that dogs have a sense that tells them to hunt, but because they have been trained, it is like that part of their brain has been switched off which is pretty amazing.

I think that science is very important to learn about, everything we do and make is done using science. The parts of science that interest me the most is the study of planets and the human body.
ReplyDeleteScience was introduced to me at the age of around 5, I went out every day with my friends and we studied things like dragon flies and plants, we drew how we thought the inside of the dragon flies looked. We also used a microscope to see what was in many different types of water for example, lake water ocean water and even our drinking water. So in all, I think science is a really cool subject to learn about.

Science is one of my favorite subjects!!! I am so excited to learn! I have taken a year long body science unit and a flying creatures unit when I was homeschooling with my mom. I took 7th grade science with Mrs. Riffel last year. I really want to learn computer science and coding. I have taken some basic classes in computer coding with Javascript on Khan Academy. Also, just a warning, I ask WAY too many questions! I want to know everything there is to learn about everything, but I'm pretty sure my brain would explode.

I'll be totally honest, there are some parts to science that I like, and some things that I don't like so much, the experiments and hands-on aspects of science I love, but learning about the atoms and the cells is quite unappealing. When we do science experiments I really love science and I really start to think about it. That's how I learn, by doing hands-on stuff.

Science is one of my favorite classes. I have taken science classes from grade school through Middle School. My strongest interest has been plate tectonics and biology. I have visited the Science Center often. Some the best exhibits were the dinosaurs, aerospace, and Spy technology. I am looking forward to the experiments and projects in this year's eighth grade class.

Although i love technical science my all time favorite type of science is botanical science because i love plants. Botany is the one thing there is more of than humans. I personally think that if plants didn't exist, we wouldn't be where we are today. we probably wouldn't be able to survive. Plants are needed for survival for food and maybe shelter. Trees are the most important for a lot of reasons. I did an experiment on plants last year and now botany has become more interesting to me.

Science is a class I have taken since joining home connection. My favorite subject would be arachnids and insects, but mostly arachnids. They're just so cool and awesome. In fact I am planning on going to Hawaii to find the happy face spider. I also am interested in cellular life and micro organisms. I studied cells in sixth and seventh grade, but I would like to learn more about them.

Science is very important to me, its one of my favorite subjects. I started to learn about science when I was 7. My family and I would go to the beach and learn about sea life. In 6th and 7th grade I learned a little about cells, planets and the human body, but through this year of 8th grade I'd like to get a better understanding about plants and cells.

As I have studied science, one thing has really caught my attention: geology. I have always loved to go down to the beach and look at all the different rocks, and see what made each one unique. I love to read about how the earth was formed, and what it has produced over time.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited to start science class this year. I love science. I did science class last year and the year before and they were both super fun. My favorite thing to do in science is the in class projects. One year in science class we were learning about weather and we got to make little clouds. I would really like to learn about animals though. I have always wondered what animals are thinking when people feed them or go near them. I would like to see how much my cat likes it when I carry her on her back.

ReplyDeleteEver since I can remember my family has had a farm. It is made up of livestock and a garden. Also, from the age of three I have participated in 4-H. I started showing animals at five. I have had a passion for science from an early age.
ReplyDeleteMy plans are to attend Washington State University, I am going to earn a major in Sustainable Agriculture and a minor in Animal Science. I am very interested in learning all that goes into having a superior farm. Given this, I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge in the science field.
I've always been interested in science, ever since I started to understand why things worked and how things worked. My favorite question is "Why?" I really do enjoy science and believe that science is nessecary in any career, from working at McDonald's to being a botanologist. In 6th grade, I learned about Earth science. In 7th grade, I learned about Life science. In 8th grade, I was supposed to do Physical science but unfortunately my school closed. For that reason, I would really like to learn more about Physical science, specifically the Table of Elements. I would say that Earth science is my least favorite and Life science is my most favorite. So far. Also, if my career in film doesn't work out, I would love to become a chemical engineer.

Science is my favorite class at HC. My favorite thing to learn about is our solar system and space in general. Some science classes at HC have had me struggling, but I will do my best to succeed in this class. My favorite science teacher is Dr. Borden. This being because she is so fun and active. The one thing I have struggled with in the past is learning about Life science because there were so many things to remember. I just couldn't remember everything. I can't wait to get started!

Science has always been intriguing for me. it amazes me how science is everywhere. In force, motion, and gravity. My favorite subject of science is marine biology because of the intelligent life. Orcas in particular, fascinate me. They are the most intelligent hunters of the deep blue, and submit to no one. I have had six years of experience in science and have never had a single marine biology paper or project to complete, but I would love to this year. I have experienced science in the force of nature through mountain biking, and kayaking.

Science is one of my favorite classes. It facsinates me and I really enjoy learning about it. I have never really liked science until these past couple years, when I learned that science is everywhere, and is involved in every job out there no matter how hard it is. I sooned forced myself to love it and do better in the subject. Some classes can be a little challenging but when it comes to science I know I can always suceed. My favorite thing in science is life science, and I really love learning about it. I cannot wait for the school year to start up again, and start going more in - depth in science

I think science is awesome. my favorite thing to do is getting messy. In that way I like science. Watching things explode and creating things is the highlight of this class. The recording DATA stuff is kind of confusing. But the best part is when your experiment works. Science is pretty cool even when there is math involved. Last couple of years in my other sciene class I learned about; cells, plant organisms, geology, the human waste systems and electricity. That was really fun. And this year I hope were doing alot of hands on stuff. Can't wait.

ReplyDeleteTo be honest, science has never been my favorite subject. I enjoy more artsy things. I do hope to do some fun experiments, and hopefully learn some interesting things. Who knows, maybe in the end I will find that I actually enjoy science. Only time will tell. I am willing to give it my best shot. Thank you.
